First Mable was sick for a week and missed three days of school. Not good since she will be missing a week when we go to Utah. Then Laney got sick! Then just when we thought we were done Dreydan got sick. They're so sweet when they're sick but I just hate being stuck at home! I felt trapped here for weeks! Glad everyone's better and ready to play!

Sliding!
This is Dreydan with his slippery feet. Him and Dave are the only people I know that can slide on carpet with there bare feet. He was having a blast! And yes his shirt is on backwards :)

Twins!
Sometimes I feel like having twins is all work and no fun. I needed to blog about them to remind myself how lucky I am to have them. Everyone I know that has twins lives fairly close to there mom. I was watching a TLC show the other day, I think it was A Baby Story. The couple was pregnant with twins and as soon as they found out, they moved to be closer to family. I was so jealous I cried! Often times I feel like I'm all on my own with these two runts! Dave works crazy hours! Mable used to help but now she likes to tease and annoy them. Today my friend Katie came and sat with them while they were taking a nap so I could go running. I just kept running like Forest Gump! :)
I'm glad I can look back at these pictures and remember how cute they are with their big cheesy smiles! I love watching them play together and listening to them talk to each other. They play this game where they pretend that one of them is a baby and the other one will hold them on their lap. Dreydan pretends he's baby Ryland and Laney pretends she's baby Claire. Every night when it's time for bed we all crawl up the stairs and pretend to be animals. Delaney is usually a baby elephant and Dreydan is usually a money or an alligator. Their favorite movies are Spider Man, Nanny McPhee, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (a.k.a the chocolate movie). When we first moved into our house they would go upstairs in the hallway and pretend they were driving in a car. They would take turns driving where ever they wanted to go (usually daddy's work or chuck e cheese). They'd tell each other "get your seatbelt on!" and they'd make "vroom vroom" noises! I have it on video I should post it. I still need to blog about their birthday. Soon!

Hot Dog
Delaney saw a hot dog while we were driving around DC and decided that was what she wanted for dinner so we told her we would get her one. Since the hot dogs in DC have a reputation for containing magets, we decided to go to the mall food court. It took so long to find a parking spot and when we finally made it inside and found a place that sold hot dogs I realized I forgot the money in the car. Instead of dragging all the kids back into the mall we decided to just drive to 7-11 and get her one. On the way there Dave stopped to get something at Taco Bell and when he was ordering himself some food Delaney rolled down her window in the back seat and yelled out "AND A HOT DOG TOO!"
She was so happy when she finally got her hot dog. She only had three bites and was done but that's Delaney!
Big Knockers!
While walking in DC Dreydan stopped and wanted his picture taken next to these giant doors. I didn't realize the rings in the middle of the two lions moved until Dreydan picked it up and dropped it and it made a super LOUD knock that scared him half to death. I shouted out in amazement "Are those big knockers!?" Dave and I started laughing hysterically! I had to have my picture next to the big knockers too.
Natural History Museum in DC
Since I'm homesick and hate living in this area I decided we should go explore DC and see if that would cure me. There is some pretty cool stuff to see here and the twins are old enough to enjoy some site seeing now.
"Crappy" Valentines Day!
This Valentines day we spent ALL day trying to get a toy out of the toilet that Dreydan flushed! This is the second time he's done this!! Last time we called a plumber and spend about a million dollars for them to get it out. It was so gross!!! I can't believe we finally got it out! It was not easy!!!!!
