i had never been in the washington monument before and have always wanted to. today we finally went. i thought today was supposed to be pretty nice but this morning it was so WINDY!! delaney was frozen stiff. while we were waiting she didn't make a sound which is NOT like her at all. when we were finally inside on the elevator the tour guide lady was giving her speech and everyone was quite...then dreydan yells out "I LOVE YOU DADDY!" everyone started laughing :) mable wanted to walk around dc but i was freeeezing so we talked her into going to georgetown and getting hot chocolate instead. it finally warmed up a little and the kids (and dave) ran around and played while i snapped a few pics and waited in the car with the heater on.

VaLeNtInEs DaY!!!

we had a fun valentines day this year. dave even got in the spirit. he got the kids balloon and chocolates which they LOVED! we had katelynn come over to babysit so we went and saw the movie 'valentine's day'. i was great to finally get out on a date again.



mable made me this AWESOME valentine...she has had a terrible time keeping her word haha ;) where's my clean house and foot rub mable???

she told me the "surprise" wouldn't be poop or anything gross like that

i got dave another guitar hero game since he loves it so much.

blizzard of 2010

i call it blizzard of 2010 because thats what the news people call it...so lame. it snowed almost 30 inches this weekend and as i'm writing this it is snowing again! mable hasn't had school all week and im sure she wont have school the rest of the week. we had a fun weekend. dave got an emergency service call (never fails, last snow storm he had to go rescue Ted Kopple). we decide to pack up the whole fam. so we could go to daves parents house afterward. the roads were crazy and nothing was open. we had to eat at mcdonalds which i think is so gross!! (just ask my dad). when we got to daves parents neighborhood the street weren't plowed but dave tried..key word 'tried' getting his truck through the snow. after getting out a couple times and helping him shoveling i gave up and carried delaney the rest of the way. the snow was up to her face so i had to carry her. dave ended up just parking in the middle

of the road and hiking up with dreydan. we spent the night there so we could help shovel and sled for a while then left the next day. i can't believe it is snowing more!!!
